“Sacred Wisdom Sacred Earth” is a feature documentary exploring the deep spiritual connection of Wisconsin’s Native American tribes to the land and waters of the Great Lakes and how this relationship seeds their efforts to restore spiritual, cultural, and environmental resilience. Through the voices of culture keepers and wisdom holders, SWSE offers a powerful reminder that an alternative way of coexisting with the Earth and all living beings is not only possible, but essential for individual, collective, and environmental healing.

The film is a Loka Initiative production created in partnership with the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bravebird Productions, and the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council. It embodies the Land Back ethos at every level and stage of design, filming, post-production, launch and distribution.

“Sacred Wisdom Sacred Earth” is in the official selection of feature documentaries at the Heartland International Film Festival taking place in October 2025.
